2024 has been a transformative year for women in the arts, marking a period of remarkable visibility and success. The National Museum of Women in the Arts debuted "New Worlds: Women to Watch 2024," spotlighting 28 trailblazing artists from diverse backgrounds. This exhibit has been pivotal in highlighting the global impact of women in art.

Paris also celebrated the contributions of Barbara Chase-Riboud with exhibitions across eight major museums, emphasizing her mastery in sculpture and poetry. Meanwhile, the Venice Biennale featured Timor-Leste artist Maria Madeira, whose exhibition "Kiss and Don't Tell" offered a poignant commentary on the Indonesian occupation of East Timor. These exhibitions not only celebrate artistic achievements but also signal a growing acknowledgment of the diverse voices in the art world.

In New York, the exhibition "A Future We Begin to Feel: Women Artists 1921–1971" at Rosenberg & Co. showcased the contributions of modernist women artists who worked across movements from Cubism to Abstract Expressionism. This exhibition highlighted their innovations and the varying degrees of institutional access they experienced, shedding light on the systemic barriers these artists faced and their resilience in overcoming them.
AI and Women Artists
As technology becomes more integrated into the creative process, many women artists are exploring the possibilities of AI to expand their artwork. Although data on the exact percentage of female AI artists is sparse, it’s notable that 29% of digital artists are using AI tools in their work. This growing interest in AI art provides a new avenue for creativity and innovation, offering women artists another platform to showcase their talents and push the boundaries of artistic expression.
The upcoming decade promises further strides in visibility and influence for women artists. PiP Art Gallery aims to play a crucial role in this transformation, providing a platform for women artists to showcase their work and gain the recognition they merit.
